About Rodney Peace
My name is Rodney Peace, and I have been painting and drawing for as long as I can remember. Between the ages of fourteen and seventeen I lived in Cyprus, and there did many portraits of The Beatles and other pop stars, also celebrities which sold well.
In Scotland I worked as a commercial artist for eight years, learning sign writing and other art forms. I was also commissioned to do a series of pen and ink drawings for a book called “Hidden Places” for four years. In 1993 I launched out on my own canvassing locally and earning three commissions on the first day, I never looked back.
I was invited to join a craft fair where I did quick sketches of the people that were there, and also took commissions for my work. My main forte is portraiture, I draw and paint all media and have been called upon to provide pictures of families, pets, boats, cars, houses etc.
I have a small studio in Deeside, which is aptly named “Masterpeace Studio” (look for the artists palette on a tree) which is open to visitors any way (wise to phone first) except a Saturday, on that day between 9am and 5pm, I can be found in the Trinity Centre, Aberdeen busy drawing portraits, and taking commissions.
